Both Robbie & I began working at Commercial Business Supply in the Summer of 1985- A LONG time ago now. Robbie was in charge of the Admin functions for the Office Machine Division of CBS and I’d moved up to become the VP of Sales. By 1992, Frank Smith, the owner of CBS, decided he was ready to be done, so he called me one day, saying he had an opportunity that could change my life. He was right! What was the Office Machine Division of CBS soon became CBM- That was over 27 YEARS ago now, and a tremendous amount has changed in our Industry.
Technology changes seemingly faster every day. BUT, what does NOT change is the way we approach our Staff and our Customers. You see- As unbelievable as the Kyocera Products are, (ESPECIALLY when compared to the “Jam-O-Matics” as I used to call what was available in 1985), and the Kyocera Products today are absolutely STUNNING- BUT, for Robbie and me, it has ultimately always been about ONE thing here at CBM- Relationships. We build lasting Relationships. So, if you’re looking for a big Company with banks of Receptionists who will never know you or understand OR care about your specific challenges- That’s NOT us. When you call CBM- You’re likely to get Robbie. (Our Customers LOVE that, BTW!) We don’t even use Machine ID Labels- Because we KNOW what equipment you have and you’re NOT an ID number to us.
